TiCN

Titanium Carbonitride
Cast Iron, High Silicon Aluminum Alloys, Copper and most abrasive materials T This coating features a hard, smooth finish that offers improved wear and built up edge resistance. Provides good adhesion, toughness, and resistance to chipping. Performs well where moderate temperatures are generated at the tools cutting edge. Coolant must be applied on the tools cutting edge to control the temperature. Color: Blue/Gray

TiAlN

Titanium Aluminum Nitride
High Strength Steels, High Temperature Alloys including Nickel Base and Titanium N Features a hard aluminum oxide layer for hot, dry machining applications which reflects the heat back into the chip and away from the tool and the work piece. Due to greater ductility, this coating performs well for interrupted cuts and provides longer tool life in high heat applications. Color: Violet Bronze

Aluminum Titanium Nitride
